Silverwells House Bedrooms - The Grand Room

{Silverwells House front and balcony}

{Grand Room Bathroom}
The Grand Room was our biggest bedroom. It had a king size four-poster bed, and space if required for a single bed. There was also room for a fold down bed, a second single bed, or a cot if necessary.

The room had a colour TV; telephone; tea/coffee making facilities;and a mini-bar with a selection of wine, spirits and beer. The room is situated at the front right on the first floor and has a large window to the front overlooking the front garden. The window on the west side overlooks the large gardens of our neighbours - enjoying the views of large gardens with different colours of leaves and flowers emerging throughout the year.
A leather topped desk allowed you to catch up on the days office work or write postcards whilst looking out over the old Glasgow to London road.
Full central heating existed and was controlled in the room. Heating was on 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. There was also a large antique fireplace with a slate hearth.

The bathroom has a high level antique style cistern linked via a polished brass pipe to the pan. The bath is a European style sitz bath where you can relax by sitting in the bath with the water up to chest height. Alternatively you can also have a shower in it!
Large mirrors lead to an optical illusion!
